A LITTLE EXTRA CARE
How to Care for Your Balloons
A few gentle steps can help your balloons look their best and keep your celebration feeling special.
Keep balloons comfortable
- Keep balloons away from sharp edges, rough surfaces, branches, and anything that could snag or pop them.
- Avoid extreme heat, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Heat can make balloons expand; cold can make them look temporarily less full.
- Keep balloons away from candles, heaters, stovetops, and other sources of heat.
- Transport balloons carefully and avoid leaving them in a hot car.
Latex balloons
Latex balloons are sensitive to sunlight, heat, wind, and outdoor conditions. When possible, keep them indoors in a comfortable environment and away from rough surfaces.
Foil balloons
Handle foil balloons gently and avoid pulling on the seams, valve, or ribbon. If a foil balloon looks less full in cooler weather, let it return to room temperature before deciding it needs attention.
How long will they last?
Your store’s typical float-time guidance: [ADD YOUR GUIDANCE FOR LATEX AND FOIL BALLOONS]
Float time varies depending on balloon type, size, inflation, temperature, and surroundings, so an exact lifespan cannot be guaranteed.
Balloon safety
- Always supervise young children around balloons.
- Keep uninflated balloons away from children and discard broken balloon pieces immediately.
- Keep balloons and broken pieces away from pets.
